Sadhana Satsanghs are our monthly inclusive, egalitarian and earth-honoring worship gatherings.
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Sadhana feels it is important to nurture both the spirit and the bodies of our members by performing weekly e-Satsanghs every Thursday. To bring our spirits together, we will be performing these Satsangh via Zoom, an online video-conferencing platform. We invite you to join us in prayer and love during this time of hardship.
Hindus around the world revere a wide range of deities associated with healing: Lord Dhanvantari, Mariamman, Shitala Devi, Arogya Lakshmi, and Lord Shiva in the form of Vaidyanatha. In this Satsangh, we will be remembering a few of these deities, namely Lord Dhanvantari (god of healing) and Arogya Lakshmi (a form of Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity, as the giver of health).
Pandit Raja Gopal Bhattar will bring us together by conducting a puja to Arogya Lakshmi, and a guided meditation on Lord Dhanvantari. Pandita Pratima Kushridevi Doobay will offer us beautiful, soothing music. Finally, Sadhana board member Hari Venkatachalam, a recent Master of Public Health graduate of Epidemiology and Global Communicable Diseases, will offer a brief follow-up presentation on COVID-19, and open the forum up to allow for questions from all those attending.
We look forward to seeing you there!
