We are the faithful majority. The vast majority of religious Americans – 69 percent, according to a new polling analysis – support nondiscrimination protections that would protect gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people in jobs, public accommodations, and housing.
Today, March 10 at 4-5pm ET, Sadhana board member Esha Khurana will be speaking at an online & in-person rally where faith leaders and activists from across the country will speak in support federal non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people.

Please join Sadhana's NYC Chapter at our March Satsangh, our egalitarian, inclusive, Earth-honoring devotional gatherings. We'll catch up, and in honor of Women's History Month discuss women we admire, the strength of women in difficult circumstances, and female expressions of joy. We'll end with a brief puja to Devi Maa.
Date and Time: Tuesday, 15th March from 6:30- 8pm Eastern.
We are online again this month, so people can join from anywhere. Look forward to connecting with you! Feel free to bring a drink or snack.

Two years ago, students at universities across the United States made history when they came together to organize the first-ever Holi Against Hindutva campaign. The campaign received significant media attention, and the student organizers faced massive backlash, targeted harassment, and doxxing from Hindutva (Hindu nationalist) groups both in India and in the diaspora. Despite this backlash, students persisted in speaking out, and the campaign went ahead—On March 5, 2020, a week before the Holi festival, students at 21 colleges in 12 states held protests demanding the repeal of CAA and international action against rising fascism in India.
This year, Sadhana is proud to partner with Students Against Hindutva Ideology and Hindus for Human Rights to revive the Holi Against Hindutva campaign with a special webinar event at 11am EST on Friday, March 18, featuring student activists from India, USA, Canada, and the UK who will be speaking about the history of student activism and resistance against Hindutva ideology, as well as the importance of rejecting attempts to weaponize the Hindu faith for hateful ends.
Join us for this critical conversation about how we can take the student resistance movement forward by registering for the event!

Since 2011, Sadhana has been building a progressive Hindu movement centered in social justice through community transformation, advocacy, and seva (selfless service). As we enter our eleventh year, we hope to transition from being a fully volunteer-led organization to hiring our first Executive Director, who will help us take this work to the next level.
However, we can’t do this work without your help. We hope that 2022 will be a year of tremendous growth and energy for our progressive Hindu movement. If our mission, vision, and values are meaningful to you, please consider making a donation of any amount to Sadhana today.
